Michel Bettane: Rich, opulent, and, on this bottle, not too oaky; great length, noble Sauternes style, great future, great finish. 18.5

Thierry Desseauve: Super gold color, ripe fruit, opulent and creamy, good length. 17

Michael Schuster: Mid-gold; intense, refined, oak-tinged nose; very rich, but perfectly constituted Sauternes with an excellent defining acidity; intensely sweet, very rich, lemon-edged, silken textured wine, with great depth and considerable complexity of flavor; long and satisfying and vital, with no sense of excess whatsoever, despite its overall generosity; substance and refinement at once. Very fine de Fargues. Delightful young, decades in hand. Now to 2035+. 17.5+
