Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red, and still opaque at the core. Despite the discipline of the second wine, there is still some grassiness on the nose, mingled with black cherry and damson. Not unattractive but lacks the refinement and purity of the best. Cool and fresh, balance and poised—but a little more warm August sunshine would have helped matters here. A respectable account of the vintage, but it needs to be price competitively to entice. | 86
