Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | Harmonious, long, delicious cedar and lead-pencil notes—almost as dense as the château’s flagship wine. This second wine is a major success this year. | 16.5

Michael Schuster | Restrained, refined, freshly ripe and minerally to smell; beautifully balanced, elegantly proportioned, medium depth, very finely tannic wine; delicate, sweet-cored flavor, long and aromatic, fresh without being edgy, nicely sustained, subtly complex, with fine, sweet, mineral-infused, fragrant length. Almost Burgundian in style—no excess whatsoever, absolutely harmonious, and a lovely expression of the vintage. This is how the best of the year’s wines were conceived. 2020–30. | 17
