BUY THE WINE

Tim Atkin | Big, dense, profound color. Clove and pepper spice on the nose. Classic Blaufränkisch. Rich, plush, and textured, Austria-meets-Bordeaux style. Ambitious, with lots of oak and concentration, sweet, brambly fruit, spice and acidity and texture. Modern, well-balanced winemaking. | 17

Alex Hunt | Not particularly vivid, but rich, ripe, attractive aromas of plums, apples, blackberries —autumnal fruit style. Nicely succulent, balanced palate, with some grip but no harshness and a little leafy lift on the finish. | 15.5

Stephan Reinhardt | Dark purple. Somewhat oxidized on the nose; very ripe fruit flavors. Extremely rich and powerful on the palate, quite elegant, with ripe tannins and very ripe fruit flavors. Nice purity in the finish, but quite massive in body and structure. | 16
