Nicolas Belfrage: Medium depth, bright. Clean but not powerful aromas of rose and violet. Complex but dry flavors, currently lacking charm, but capable of coming through with time. Drink 2015+. 16

Andrew Jefford: Deep black-red, shading to garnet at the rim. Warm, full, earthy, solid, even a little stolid, yet there is still plenty of dense black fruit at the heart of this, and it is fringed with rose and rue. Rich, full, deep, textured, powerful; very grippy tannins here. Quite an uncompromising style and, for the time being, a little gruff and inarticulate, yet there is so much here that it is hard to foresee anything but a happy outcome. Just give it time, and don’t open the bottle expecting huge charm. Definitely for food. 16

Franco Ziliani: Medium depth of color; ruby. The bouquet is rich, warm, intense, with ripe fruit (plum dominates other fruit), black licorice, spices, tobacco, leather, cinnamon, and clove notes. Rich, warm, intense on the palate, with velvety ripe tannins, great substance and richness of savor, good complexity and a long, long finish. Will surely improve over the next 10 years. Hold in your cellar and drink a bottle every year to see the evolution. 17
