Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | Remarkably complex nose, marvelous purity, quite fat, a bit more floral than La Mission, notes of linden and a hint of fresh mint; fat, intense, even nervous; perfectly united. | 18

Michael Schuster | Discreet Sauvignon alongside the gentle Semillon wax; an elegant, moderately concentrated Haut-Brion blanc; fresh and refined, if without quite the grandeur it usually has; long, tastily complex, aromatic, and persistent, but overall more of a gracefully juicy rather than grand and imposing style this year. Very good rather than great. 2020–30. | 18.5
