Michael Schuster | Dense, herbally floral over the blackcurrant; full, vigorous, finely, if a touch drily tannic; mineral and vital wine to taste, compact, briskly ripe, not particularly polished, but with plenty of character, both a firm and characterful texture, the 20% Petit Verdot seeming to give this a particularly sapid and very individual quality, and there is fine aromatic length, too. As I say, vigor and sap and character! Lovely in its way. A most individual and attractive La Gurgue. 2024–34+.
