Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve | Nice color, powerful nose, with spice and even smoke, closed tannins, a touch abrupt, but barrel aging will soften the whole. | 16

Michael Schuster | Inky color; dense, tannic, lively, this is a concentrated, structured, muscular expression of the vintage; for the moment, tough and difficult to see the wine beyond the tannic structure; there is nothing green or herbaceous about this, but it is a fairly tough prospect. The excellent fruit presence and length point to its quality, but a long-haul wine all the same. 2020–28. | 15.5
