Michael Schuster | Exuberantly, freshly sweet ripe cassis fruit; nicely balanced, full, fresh, very fine in moderate tannin (clearly very careful extraction); fresh, restrained, elegant wine, a touch wood-dry (alcohol-hardened?) in texture, but with a very nice length of flavor and typical overall “house” restraint, plus a long, warm, sweet-cored aftertaste. Excellent Chapelle in this slightly hotter/harder style. 2030–40+.
