Andrew Jefford | Bright, full straw-gold. Rich and full, layered and beguiling on the nose, with honey, lanolin, beeswax, and linden flowers. Very attractive and botrytis-laden, seemingly. Beautiful use of oak. A super wine here, too, all its branches bending and groaning under the weight of its drippingly sweet, sun-gorged fruits. Super-sweet and decadent. Less acidity than for some, but the botrytis complexities bring balance, and the oak is either less obtrusive on the palate than on the nose or the sheer weight of sugar has bombed it out.
