Jesús Barquín: Deep gold to pale amber. Despite its paler color, it has a very intense and elegant nose, with fine aromas of caramel and carpentry. The palate shows good biological heritage. Another great Amontillado-Fino. 17.5
Andrew Jefford: Deep gold. Refined and grainy: winnowed wheat, milled rice, a hint of bread, cartwheels on stone, a box of dried apricots. Quietly expressed but high in quality. On the palate, this is very dry, light, almost Riesling-fresh, skipping through the mouth and quickening the digestive juices. The prominent acidity almost has a pinched, green quality; that is my only reservation about this otherwise excellent young, pure Amontillado. 16
Richard Mayson: Pale amber, with a golden glint; delicate, lifted, savory toasted character: almonds and hazelnuts, with the merest vestige of dried apricot. Quite austere in style after some of the fuller wines, still retaining a touch of Fino character; delicate, dry, long, and involved. A lovely wine if you like this style. 17.5
