Nicolas Belfrage: Quite deep with no sign of turn. Blackberry and cassis on nose. Modern style; very well done; nicely balanced plummy, berry fruit with typical Sangiovese acidity. A well-achieved blend, sufficiently Tuscan to convince on that level, but with a modern twist. Good length, drinking in a year or two for several. 17
Bruno Besa: Black core to thin pink/purple rim. Clean mature nose of black fruits some aromatic herbs, and hints of new oak. Soft, plum fruit with balanced tannic structure and fairly long, clean red-fruit finish. Well-made wine but strangely round and dark for a Sangiovese-based wine. 15
Stephen Brook: Very deep red. Rich, dense, powerful black-cherry nose, though the oak is not too dominant. Suave and powerful, but with a seamless texture, an opulent mouthfeel, and enough acidity to give some lift on the aftertaste. It’s quite international in style, but well made and harmonious. Long chewy finish. 17
