BUY THE WINE

Nicolas Belfrage: Medium deep, with turn. Oak and herbal fruit coming through on nose. Nicely balanced wine, with bright acidity and tannins in line and cherry fruit bursting through to longish finish. 17

Bruno Besa: Deep garnet to tawny rim. Mature, mineral, and intense nose, with compact black fruit and refined spicy character, with tobacco, cinnamon, and cloves. Medium-to full-bodied palate, well balanced between maturity, tannic structure. A good wine that is ready to drink. 16.5

Stephen Brook: Very deep red. A touch stewed on the nose: could be reduction or a savory bacterial tone—not sure. Medium-bodied, silky, quite concentrated, but also rather flat and lacking in nuance. This may be tiring, and it certainly lacks zest and pep. Medium length. 14
