Nicolas Belfrage: Medium deep, beginnings of turn. Cherry fruit and oak on nose. Chunky modern-style fruit expression, with bright acid and firm but ripe tannins. Drink from two years for a few. 15

Bruno Besa: Deep ruby to garnet core. Mature red-fruit nose, jammy and broad; touch musty; medium to full body, with shortish finish. 13

Stephen Brook: Very deep red. Reticent black-fruit nose; quite oaky, too. Reasonably fresh on the attack, with a silky texture and good weight of fruit. Despite the tannins, this has some deftness and a lightness of touch, with sufficient acidity to carry the wine through to the finish. Chewy, without rusticity, and long. 17
