Nicolas Belfrage: Deep color, almost opaque, with little turn. Berry and wood on nose. Lots of everything on the palate—acidity, tannin, fruit—but the last is left behind a bit, needs time to catch up. Structure is there; could turn out to be a fine bottle with time. Three to ten years. 15.5
Bruno Besa: Deep garnet to pink, orange rim. Oxidized nose with little fruit. Green and short. 10
Stephen Brook: Very deep re d. Slightly Porty nose that doesn’t shout Sangiovese. Broad and soft, this seems flat and also rather dry from the tannins. Where’s the lift and charm? This is too dogged and lacks zest. 13
