BUY THE WINE

Essi Avellan | Lemon color. Expressive, soft, fruity nose, with a stylish, toasty undertone. Ripe, with candied and appley fruit on the juicy, high-acid palate. | 91

Simon Field | Modest straw-gold color, flecks of green. Umami and honeysuckle on the nose, plenty of ripe fruit behind that. Hints of pineapple and guava behind the citric descriptors, then yeast and biscuit, Viennese patisserie, figs, and notes of hazelnut. Very complete and completely satisfying. Drinking well now and over the next five years or so. | 93

Anthony Rose | Mid-gold, with an apple-pie and clove-spice sweetness of aroma. This is a richly full-flavored blend, with a light toasty veneer of bubbles in the mousse balancing an intense sweetness of apple compote fruit flavor with subtly toasty autolytic notes. A refreshingly zesty quality tapers to a mouthwatering, dry finish. Showing structure and aging potential. | 95
