Tim Atkin | Elegant, complex, balsamic aromas. Light and floral, and nicely focused, with subtle, refined fruit. Herbal and spicy. Well-integrated oak. Complex and will age. | 92
Simon Field | Ruby-red, brick at the rim; classic nose of wild strawberry, plum, and verbena; the palate is soft, accessible, with a gamut of allusive expectation; slightly drying tannins, fulsome, and à point, red fruit and spice entwined, drinking well now and over the next few years, for sure. | 91
Andrew Jefford | Deep black-red and now just off opaque. Warm, cedary, glowing, and refined aromas: Expansive and allusive. Very attractive and classical, slowly unfolding in the glass. Enticing, incense spice, and warm, almost balsamic fruits. Intensely and searchingly fruity on the palate: Incisive, deep, and long. This is a pure-fruited Rioja structured by singing, lyrical acidity, rather than by tannins, which are relatively smooth and light, but the fruit intensity is striking. | 92
