Tim Atkin | Spicy, peppery, sweet traditional style, with American oak notes, complex balsamic undertones, and supporting acidity. Rich and a little fig-like, but layered and long. | 91
Simon Field | Plush, well-upholstered, regal purple; a pretty floral nose slowly unfurls, plenty of red fruit in support. The palate is equally charming: raspberries and fennel, verbena and strawberries. A pleasing and diverting statement; one for relatively early consumption. | 90
Andrew Jefford | Dense, deep, opaque black-red. Lots of smoky, black pastille fruits given sensual charm by the warm, resonant oak. No sense of premature thinning yet, and the fruit and oak are still in perfect equilibrium. Rich and enticing. Warm, amply fruited and expansive on the palate, with very fine concentration of fruit and plenty of fresh, structuring tannic support. A super wine with huge depth, resonance, and refinement, too. Absolutely on song. | 95
