Michel Bettane: Very Merlot-like, precise and well made, but lacking complexity. 15.5
Thierry Desseauve: Round and rich, but a certain lack of personality. 16
Michael Schuster: Very ripe fruit to smell; concentrated, fresh, with a firm but fine-grained tannin; complex, nice length in the mouth, tasty and persistent; a particularly fine Pibran, with decades in hand. Leave for ten years at least—the 1989 is tasting perfect at 24 years of age! 2022–35+. 16+
