Andrew Jefford | Surprisingly deep in color, with some opacity still at the core. Very sweet and oaky, aromatically: almost fudge-like. But claretty, too: exuberantly Margaux (with a wink at Rioja). Exciting but unsubtle, exuberantly extracted and aged but the picking decision wasn’t wrong and these are Margaux soils. The result is a rather easy-going classed growth but good fun to drink, genuinely ripe and not painfully acidic, for the short to medium term, possibly great value and of real drinking interest. It will be interesting to track this property (and its stablemate Boyd- Cantenac) in future vintages. | 87

Michael Schuster | A nice early bouquet here, with a plummy fruit, a hint of gravel, and clear new oak; light, fresh, lightly tannic wine, with a slightly oak-dry texture gripping the pleasingly round fruit. Not bad, if not a great deal to it. Probably best drunk soon, while still fresh. Now to 2026+. | 87
