Michel Bettane: Delicious nose, with mineral undertones, elegant body, excellent overall balance; very well made. 17

Thierry Desseauve: Big color, rich nose, ripe tannins, velvety body, intensity and length. Impressively brilliant. 18.5

Michael Schuster: Dense and scented nose; powerful, potent, forceful wine; dry yet clearly with a very ripe fruit within its very firm tannin; difficult to know quite what to make of this. Power, yes; concentration, yes—but also a very marked astringency, and whether and when this will be a pleasure to drink is difficult to say. A very fine sweet-fruit persistence is an indication of its quality, but whether it will ever be attractively textured in the glass is for me an open, at present unanswerable question. 2030–50+. 17.5?
