Michael Schuster | Fresh and mineral to smell; an elegant, linear, middleweight, with a very gentle tannin; fresh, sweet-fruited, infused with a marked mineral element; long, vibrant, and with excellent aromatic persistence. Freshness, finesse, aroma, and a delicious vitality on the gently sweet fruit. Like many of the wines this vintage, this is lacking the commune’s characteristic flesh and is thus not obviously Pomerol—nor obviously Merlot from Pomerol. But this is a lovely wine nonetheless. A fifth of the usual crop! 2019–28. | 17
