Andrew Jefford | Dark, dense black-red in color. Warm and respiring, with some dry grass scents; the fruit notes, too, have moved away from the pristine character of early youth and are beginning to suggest a little early-stage evolution. Exuberant and expansive but just a touch dry-fruited. That’s to carp; but overall this is a very sound and impressively concentrated mouthful of Pauillac with much to offer over the next 15 years. | 91
Michael Schuster | Sweet, blackcurrant Cabernet and oak-cedar to smell; concentrated medium-full wine with a lively defining acidity and firm, fine tannin; a lovely fruit core flavor, long and gently aromatic to taste, a complex and satisfying Armailhac, with excellent persistence. Splendid, refined, medium- to long-term Pauillac. 2030-40+. | 92
