Andrew Jefford | Dark, opaque black-red. Crisply defined, fragrant redcurrants and blackcurrants in this very pure and aromatically lifted wine: ample graceful charm, here. It’s a super-St-Julien on the palate, with shimmeringly pure, incisive fruit of great depth, supported by tender tannins. Very fine work here in this super-focused wine, which unquestionably has the legs to see out two decades of ringing classicism. | 93
Michael Schuster | Plumply ripe Cabernet to smell; a rich, medium-full wine, fresh in acidity, finely firm in tannin, a lovely balance; plenty of flavor here, deep and sweet, with a nice flesh to it, subtly gravelly in aroma, long across the palate and with excellent length. A most successful Branaire, needing a decade at least. 2030–40+. | 92+
