Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red, though not saturated, and only just opaque; a purple rim. Gorgeous aromas: a soft breath of blackcurrant, very teased and sheeny, plump, subtle, finely engraved, pure, tantalizing. Pure class. Fine, billowing chiffon on the palate, too: masterly restraint and limpidity of fruit. Singing and aerial claret, though in my opinion it will be a mid-term Rauzan-Ségla rather than a marathon runner. | 93

Michael Schuster | A fine nose, but still discreet and relatively closed; lovely, elegant balance, medium-full, fresh in acidity, very fine in tannin; a freshly defined, sweetly ripe flavor, with a great finesse of texture, long and graceful across the palate, real Margaux finesse, second-growth class, and lovely, perfumed persistence. A beautiful, complete Rauzan-Ségla. 2024–40+. | 93
