Andrew Jefford | Dark, dense black-red with deep scarlet at the rim. Warm, round, enticing rather brandied fruits. Lush and appetizing if unrefined. Very sweet and full, and oak-stiffened, with ample satisfying tannins from fruit as well as oak... but freshness of fruit there is none, which perplexes me from a property up on the North-facing slopes of elevated St-Emilion in 2016. What’s going on? A generous, decent glassful of St-Emilion, but not at all the vintage as we know it from elsewhere. | 87
Michael Schuster | Freshly sweet to smell; full-bodied, fresh in acidity, fine but firmish in tannin; sweet-flavored, modest in scope, slightly alcohol-warm, but easy, pleasing, straightforward St-Emilion. It will benefit from a certain amount of richness in the dishes at table, but will still be very satisfying early on. 2022–30+. | 88
