Andrew Jefford | Dark, deep black-purple-red, and scarlet at the rim. Soft, vivid fruits in sweet and spicy style. Attractive and well-crafted wine with ample fruit: soft, expressive, lively. Excellent tannins, too. The fruit is just a little bit sinewy and that, plus the lack of aromatic finesse, holds it back from a score in the low 90s. | 88

Michael Schuster | Very nice, gentle, discreet, fruit-fragrant and gravel-tinged nose; full, fresh, finely but firmly tannic wine; a very nice, freshly sweet fruit framed by a very firm oak-dry tannin texture; moderate complexity, and nice light length. Good wine, marked by its oak-dry tannins—which you either like / don’t mind or not. Time needed according to your tolerance for, attraction to, wood tannin! 2026–36+. | 89
