BUY THE WINE

Andrew Jefford | Dark, deep black-red toward dark scarlet at the rim. Ample exuberant boisterous warmth of fruit in plump, well-rounded style. Affable and open. Intense and long on the palate, with the Right-Bank Cabernets giving the wine an almost meaty intent and less black-fruited purity than for many of its peers. Impressive drive and depth here—though (for better or worse) much less “Pomerol” than most Pomerols. | 90

Michael Schuster | Nose rather closed and seems a little “dampened” by its wood; medium-full, fresh, quite firm in tannin; ripe, straightforward flavor, of moderate complexity and length, still a touch tannic and needing time. A bit chewy as yet— seems not quite sure what it is—as Pomerol. 2025–35+. | 88
