Stephen Brook | The nose is decidedly pretty, with ripe, lemony aromas. This is never the weightiest of Sauternes but this does have flesh and juiciness, with some welcome depth of flavor, and attractive mandarin and apricot flavors. It shows some punch and flair. There’s delicacy on the finish, which shows poise and persistence, with some refreshing acidity. | 92
Andrew Jefford | Pale lemon. Quite yeasty-funky just now, with fresh bread and bacon-fat aromas; it needs a while to settle down and find its inner class, but there’s nothing wrong with it and no red lights flashing. Some Sauternes still needs time! The palate confirms all of this... it’s actually a lovely and relatively generous wine, which is merely suffering from a bout of adolescent disorganization. There are poised, lemony fruits in here though; lots of richness and fat; it’s very clean and long, and the acidity and oak are just right to carry the wine forward. Expect a better score in due course. | 90
