Michael Schuster | Very ripe blackcurrant-cassis to smell; a rich, fresh, concentrated, firmly tannic wine; a core flavor of abundant sweetly ripe Cabernet, long and fresh, but succulent and juicy from its Merlot content, also complex and racy and aromatic at the same time; a relatively showy, top 2019 St-Julien, still with a very refined tannin texture and lovely length. This will be succulently seductive when at full maturity. 2030–50+.
