Michael Schuster | Blackcurrant Cabernet, Médoc gravel, and new wood on the nose; fairly full, crisp in acidity, quite firm in tannin; a clear, delicate Margaux fruit at the heart of this wine, crisply fruity and of medium depth, but its delicacy currently swamped by its fine, dry new-wood tannins, which distract, and seem to shorten the finish, too. Tough-going... at least for Margaux. I am not sure this will age gracefully, it will certainly need time to mellow. Not bad wine, but not a second-growth performance. 2032–45+.
