Michael Schuster | Very ripe blackberry fruit to smell, but “pebbly” behind, too; fairly full, rich, and generous on the palate, fresh in acidity, firm in tannin; a fine concentration of gently earthy ripe blackcurrant Cabernet flavor, with a nice length across the palate, all the while framed by a fine, firm tannin, and with a good, crisply defined, lightly gravel-scented finish. Fresh, elegant Belgrave, which, in a few years, should provide very enjoyable drinking over a good decade. 2027–37+.
