Michael Schuster | Pale gold; faint reduction from the recent bottling, but dense in Semillon fat, resonant in subtle Sauvignon; rich, generous, vigorous in acidity, a very fine grand-vin balance; deep in flavor, very ripe yet absolutely dry, an imposing, mouthcoating presence but without any sense of force or excess; ample, juicy, powerful, and very complex, subtle and tenacious across the palate, followed by a great length of aftertaste. A wine of enormous scope and contained power, wonderfully impressive. Deliciously magnificent immediately, but also clearly a wine for decades. Top grand cru white Burgundy equivalent. 2025–50+.
