Michael Schuster | In the Magrez family of reds, the immediate restraint of the Cabernet Sauvignon is clear to smell here in a nicely focused ripe blackcurrant core (none of the slightly overripe character shown on the Merlot-dominated noses); this is well-balanced in a fairly fulsome style, with a freshly defining acidity and a firm, fine, currently slightly oak-dry tannin; a quite powerful Clémentin, warm, ripe, mouthcoating, gently chewy, with plenty of flavor, a light complexity, and good, warm, fruit-imbued length. Will need time. 2027–37+.
