Michael Schuster | Blueberry- and blackberry-ripe fruit on the nose; fairly full, supple but fresh enough in acidity, and moderately tannic; a very nice, very ripe, plump, juicy fruit-core, framed by a fine-grained tannin, slightly wood-dry in its texture, a touch warm from its alcohol, nicely sustained across the palate and with fine fruit length. Very good Clos St-Martin, as always somewhat marked by its new oak, but you either like that... or not. 2026–40+.
