Michael Schuster | A dense combination of ripe blackberry fruit and mineral impressions; full, generous, fresh in acidity, firm but very fine in tannin; rich, fleshy, firmly defined wine, full of sweetly ripe fruit, long and graceful to taste, subtly aromatic and complex, so polished, so tenacious, both powerful and restrained at once, with great depth of flavor, and great mineral and fruit-fragrant persistence. A most complete and beautiful and refined expression of this terroir, a great La Fleur-Pétrus. Gorgeous sweetness at its heart, great class overall, and a splendid follow-on to the wonderful 2018. 2032–47+.
