Bruno Besa | Brilliant golden straw. Ripe and broad citrus- fruit nose, with tropical fruit undertones and intense herbal notes. Overripe, flat palate. | 84
Andrew Jefford | Pale gold. Mealy and rich, not particularly articulate but with a suggestive complexity that draws you in. Fruit skins and sherbet; some quietly malty grain behind. Fresh, too. Intriguing. Deep, vivid, and chewy on the palate, with that same mealy inarticulacy, concentration and sérieux; another intriguing white, where the drinker instinctively wants to know more of its story. Amazing fresh balances seem to characterize these Etna whites at best. Another very good food wine. Since this has the best concentration and depth of the wines we’ve essayed so far, I will give it an extra point. | 92
Michael Palij | Medium-lemon and very developed on the nose, with ripe fruit including tangerine, apricot, and honeydew melon. There just isn’t enough fruit here to balance the acidity and the wine tastes lean and tough, notwithstanding the richness on the nose. | 84
