Simon Field | Modest color. Notes of rosehip and forest floor. The palate has good levels of acidity, aromatic integrity, and plenty of spicy interest. Lacking a little concentration and power on the finish, nonetheless a worthy representative of a distinctive style of Garnacha! | 88
Andrew Jefford | Another brilliant rosehip-red wine. Cranberry- fruit scents join red cherry in the aromatic profile; there’s some soaked licorice, too. This is very lifted and elegant, with more sensual exuberance than the [Comando G Rozas Premier 1er Vino de Paraje Valle del Tietar Sierra de Gredos 2016 and Comando G Las Umbrias Rozas de Puerto Real Valle del Tiertar Sierra de Gredos 2016]. A touch of Cascade hop, too. Glorious in the mouth: just an explosion of perfumed seduction, a slow-falling firework of rose, of hops, of cherries and cherry blossom, of licorice spice, of perfumed cream. Magnificent wine and these Gredos/Mentrida contenders totally expand the global Grenache horizons: bravo. | 93
David Williams | Perfectly pitched strawberry and raspberry fruit, in pale and interesting Gredos style. Light and airy but not without substance, and with a nip of cherry-kernel bitterness and mountain freshness.| 90
