BUY THE WINE

Simon Field | Elegant, albeit youthful style, salinity and a hint of pepper and woodsmoke; lifted and stylish. Generous profile of fruit, finely poised natural acidity and a firm authoritative finish. | 89

Andrew Jefford | Deep, clear black-red. Sweet, warm, licoricey scents: very comely, appetizing, and appealing. Concentrated and mouth-filling, the plum fruits once again lent complexity by licorice depths. Balanced and well judged, and in contrast to most of the European and California wines, the balance here comes more from acidity than tannin, which emphasizes the “fruity” appeal of the wine. | 89

David Williams | Fresh and clean-cut, with red and black fruit on the nose and a measure of tannic grip. Attractive enough without being especially evocative or expressive. | 86
