Simon Field | Deeper in color than some, that is to say approaching pale gold. Its nose has hints of toffee apple, crème brûlée, and fig—lactic and yet savory at the same time. Hints of litchi and white toast serve to reinforce the quota of intrigue. Fascinating and, if atypical, certainly not lacking for interest and driven qualitative imperative, which will not want for adherents. Very fresh and venerable; the ancient of days. | 93
Andrew Jefford | Mid-gold, with some spritz. Pungent and full: lemon in oil, and the estuary flats in sunshine, out where the samphire grows, rather than those volcanic tephra soils—marine, nonetheless! Unique, compelling, and intriguing aromas. Vivid, lively, and pure on the palate, with less salinity than most and a less tight, taut balance. A slightly softer and more easy-drinking style, but it gives no ground to any other wine in terms of its purity and authenticity and lemon-samphire marine nature. Very good. | 91
Demetri Walters | Markedly youthful, though showing a leesy combination of meatiness and minerality, as well as hints of tropical fruit. Slightly unusual, though pleasantly different. A good deal of complexity here as well as significant freshness. | 86
