BUY THE WINE

Simon Field | Somewhat amorphous in its youth, the color flaxen, the aromatic recalling warm climates of a Gauguin afternoon. Good weight of fruit on the palate, the lemon grove and almonds to the fore. With time in the glass and a little contemplation, the flavor cascades, and one cannot fail but to be beguiled by a sense of place—a very special place at that. | 89

Andrew Jefford | Bright, pale gold. Clean, fresh, and relatively neutral, but that doesn’t mean void: There’s a tautness made up of citrus pith and plant sap that meets expectations nonetheless. Crunchy and bright, lemony and solar—you can see why this is the variety that gets the resin treatment, but this wine makes a great case for leaving it unresinated. Yet again, a brilliant wine for Greek food. | 88

Demetri Walters | Delicately herbal but otherwise quite neutrally fruited. Good freshness and a little textural interest provide for a highly quaffable wine without pretensions to be hugely complex. Very drinkable and extremely food-friendly. | 88
