Simon Field | Pale yet robust. Gentle bubbles but pungent aromatics, Sauvignonesque, with mandarin and yellow flowers etching fine detail, and precocious indulgence. The palate is relatively concentrated, the fruit basket liberally sampled, citric discipline then a finish of plum and grapefruit. Potent and persuasive. | 89
Andrew Jefford | Very pale green-gold with some spritz. Fresh, mouthwatering, citrus-like aromas, clean and precise, draw you into the glass, and there is an almost Riesling-like primary fruit note, like a distant Hellenic echo of something from the Mosel. On the palate, this is very clean, very dry, bitter-edged, with delicious flavors of oily lemon and some sense of crushed stone to lend it ballast and dignity. There is a saline note, too; a true “island Assyrtiko” that works very well. | 91
Demetri Walters | A markedly ripe and textured style. Notable aromatic lift, but altogether a little too oxidative and somewhat volatile. A shame, because it is attractively textured. | 80
