Simon Field | An attractive color, clean and with a glow of soft luminosity. The nose is pure yet forthright, an orchard-fruit profile with a stony backdrop; sermons in stones. Structurally, the wine impresses; fruits from both the citric and the tropical ends of the spectrum pair up, and there a felicitous confluence of elements of vinous complexity. | 88
Andrew Jefford | Pale, steel green-bright. A little bit reductive? I’ll try again in 5 minutes, but at first sniff it is very smoky-taut and unyielding. There’s not much more later; another wine that reminds me of young Hunter Valley Semillon. It’s bright, fresh, primary, pristine, and well made on the palate, but just a touch simple compared to the very best wines of this tasting. | 87
Demetri Walters | Rather shy and somewhat like wet wool on the nose. Notably restrained, to the point of neutrality. Rather more texturally, though it could benefit from a good deal more fruit expression at this stage of its evolution. | 79
