Neil Beckett | Although the Blanchots is archetypally elegant, fine, and subtle, this is a case of the better being the enemy of the good, at least when they are tasted together, since the Réserve is, as it should be, even more special. A very lovely scent, with more floral lift, a fête des fleurs blanches, but nothing too heady or overblown, thanks to its aromatic transparency. A gentle grip does not detract from—indeed even seems to highlight—its silkiness; superb harmony and intensity, with a compulsively piquant saline touch on the lingering finish, which maître de chai Stéphane Barras refers to as a goût de reviens-y. | 96
