BUY THE WINE

Neil Beckett | Medium-deep ruby. A sample drawn from a racked barrel, new, as were all the others used for this wine, but no negative sign of that: a very clean, reserved, but properly slightly "wild" nose, of light cherry, garrigue, and lightly smoked meat. Remarkably elegant for this often quite sturdy cru, with a very fine-spun silken texture, but excellent energy, race, and persistence as well. Superb. | 95
