BUY THE WINE

Essi Avellan: Medium-deep lemon. Soft, ripe, fruity nose, with vanilla, pastry, and apple jam. Crisp, fleshy palate that finishes appropriately dry and succulent. Nice fruit, but it could do with more complexity. | 87

Simon Field: A lively, bubbly example, soapy, soupy, and forthright; ripe apples, lanolin, and almonds. A very honest wine, forward and maybe a little hesitant on the back of the palate. | 88

Tom Stevenson: If I am going to drink Champagne dominated by volatile oak, then this would be my choice, because it is fresher than the rest, with less volatile fruit. | 88
