Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red. Pure, aerial, lifted fruits with ample curranty freshness: scents of great poise and charm with a blossomy fragrance. Clean, fresh, and athletic on the palate, with a savory warmth to finish. It is, in the end, “all about the fruit” but the fruit is impeccable, and this Durfort will provide a lot of medium-term pleasure. | 91
Michael Schuster | Pretty closed to smell at the moment; medium-full, fresh in acidity, moderate in fruit concentration, but a fine, sweet, aromatic flavor, with just a hint, as so often, of herbaceousness— in the nicest way, clear finesse, an attractive complexity and good length. Still not really up to its second-growth status in this fine Margaux year, but very good wine nonetheless. You could drink it young with pleasure, but it will offer more with time. 2023–35+. | 91
