Michael Schuster | Typical youthful Cheval nose of raspberry fruit topped with caramel-cream, the Merlot and new-oak vanilla combination, intense and decidedly seductive. Rich, ample, fleshy, finely tannic wine, a touch warm in character, but sweet, rich, subtly spicy, long to taste. Quite powerful but in no way coarse, and with very nice length. A fine Cheval, with a certain muscularity from its alcohol. This is not a big deal, though. 2030–45+. | 94
