Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red. This has some mixed ripeness to it: sweet, yet grassy, too. It’s soft yet concentrated on the palate, with deliciously palpable tannins and gentle yet supportive acidity. Moreover, it is much harder to see the grassy notes on this beautifully ripened palate than it was on the nose, so I am reassured to have the wine in the mouth and relish its gentle blackberry- plum fruits. For all that, the nose cannot lie and that grassy mixed-ripeness note will emerge in the end, so I’d drink this as soon as you can. It is delicious now. | 88
Michael Schuster | Ripe, lightly oaky, lightly mineral to smell; full-bodied, quite rich, moderately tannic; sweet, quite powerful, ample, and satisfying at a modest level, and with good light length. 2022–30+. | 89
