Andrew Jefford | Dark, alluring black-red in color. There is ripe blackberry and plum here, but something a little more mentholated, too; freshly appealing. It’s deep, dark, juicy, with plenty of black fruits thrown into the vintage’s depth of field by lively acidity. Generous oaking is palpable, and this is not a notably concentrated wine. It does justice to the vintage, but I don’t think it will go down in the Gazin pantheon as an all-time great. | 88
Michael Schuster | Quite closed to smell, but clearly full of ripe fruit; full, fairly firm in tannin, a gently muscular expression of Pomerol; sweet yet freshly defined fruit within a gently chewy tannin texture, a nice, spicy, moderately complex flavor, and with excellent fruit persistence. Really needs time but will be very satisfying given that. 2027–37+. | 91
